Our June 2020 French box is themed ‘Rejuvenate & Take Care of You’

With our home lives, social activities and work places drastically changing during this challenging time of global sickness, it is important that we be kind to ourselves. This might be to rejuvenate our minds and bodies with new passions and skills, it might be to allow ourselves time to adjust to the new norm of living or it might be to spoil ourselves just a little, while we give up so many other enjoyable activities we are used to, like dining out with friends, catching up with family over celebrations or travelling.

Being resourceful with food supplies, finding ways to entertain children or ourselves and making our homes a place of beauty and peacefulness has become even more important than ever during this global COVID-19 outbreak.

Maybe you are spending time in the garden, soaking up the sunshine while reading a book, doing little home maintenance jobs, or trying new recipes using easily sourced ingredients. However you are making this difficult time work best for you, is okay, and there is hope in knowing it will eventually end.

Being Resourceful

We have had to be resourceful too, rethinking and reorganising the theme of our June 2020 box as some of our original French suppliers, because of the total lockdown in France and their shipping restrictions, have been unable to fulfil our orders.

We are excited though, that we are still able to source some of our beautiful products from France, and others from local Australian artisans whose French style and quality make them worthy to be included in our Beautiful French Collection Boxes. I know you’ll also be happy in our support of Australian businesses that are finding it more challenging at the moment. Of course, your box would not be complete without its authentic flea market find, which we have sourced on our previous trips to Paris antique markets.

So I am very excited to share with you the Rejuvenate and Take Care of You box which I know will brighten up your delivery day. While the contents are still a secret, there will be products that cheer, products that entertain and products that rejuvenate and celebrate you. We’re excited !!

Practising my own Resourcefulness

Today, I celebrated my resourcefulness too (I even took a photo above). Without florists being open and all unnecessary travel banned, I got to thinking how I’d decorate my dining table without my usual cut floral arrangements and a garden devoid of flowers. My solution was to add cut Murraya branches from my hedge and arrange them with my artificial rose flowers from Provincial Home Living. I was rather pleased with the natural looking arrangement I’d made and now it looks pretty and cheerful in a water filled glass vase. Here’s to being resourceful, creating peacefulness and beauty in our homes and above all, being kind to ourselves at this time.
