Berthe Morisot - Apres le dejeuner - French gift box

Berthe Morisot Notebook x1

Berthe Morisot (1841-1895) was the only woman in the group of painters labeled the Impressionists at the start of the period. She was part of the first exhibition where the group called themselves ‘Impressionists’ in 1877 and her paintings capture everyday life with a true beauty. Morisot is less well known than her contemporaries Renoir and Monet but she painted alongside them for years.

Celebrating her work, this 64 page lined notebook is printed in France and sourced directly from the Musée d’Orsay.

The gorgeous front, inside front and inside back covers are fully covered with the painting Apres de dejenuer (After Breakfast) which is also called À le campagne (In the Countryside) – see above.

Imagine jotting down your daily thoughts or precious moments in this very special notebook that honours one of the great women Impressionist painters!
