‘New Beginnings’ Box #2 Revealed
Our December box was described as “This box is about thinking of the new year and the welcome beginning that 2021 will be for many. The hint to unlocking new beginnings is carried through our antique/flea market find and other beautiful products. We have a collection of different items, some personal like the handmade jewellery piece by a Parisienne artisan, an artwork on Paris, a lovely piece of clothing and more authentic French products.
The colour theme is Provencal olive green and soft pink and everything is wrapped with love by me in a glossy white box that can be reused.”
The Opening of Box #2
The reveal of December 2020’s box themed ‘New Beginnings’, is a little later than normal, but we have a special reason for that. We know you all enjoy the surprise of seeing what’s inside, so we try and wait for all ladies to receive their gift box before we do the big reveal.
Late 2020 was not without its obstacles with shipping, border closures and lockdown for some of our customers. This delayed things a little, and for one delightful customer she endured strict lock down, moved house, and negotiated essential travel that saw her away from her home and postage address for a couple of months. But you can’t keep a good thing down, so our boxes went out as promised in December and our special customer has returned home and now opened her French box.
Now we can reveal what ‘New Beginnings’ included and are so happy to also include customer reviews on this box for you. Box #3 was all about muted colours, keys that unlock new beginnings and a good dose of sweet pink and subdued olive green.
FRENCH KEY NOTECARD

SAVON DE MARSEILLE
Savon de Marseille is the traditional soap manufactured in Marseille, a city in the Provence Alpes Cote d’ Azur region of France and seriously nothing is quite the same as savon de Marseille. They are heavy, smell delicious and have a special texture. In the Middle Ages big blocks of this gentle soap were first crafted in Marseille with the olive oil from local groves, marine ash and sea salted water.
Savon de Marseille is totally biodegradable, requires little packaging and its manufacture is environmentally friendly. Authentic Savon de Marseille is stamped with its weight in grams, a practice left over from years ago which allowed households to compare prices and plan their inventories.
Our soaps which are sourced directly from Marseille are 150 grams, made of 80% d’huile (oil) and scented of noix de coco (coconut).
MERCI TOTE BAG
Merci is a concept store located in the heart of Paris. It was inaugurated in 2009, and is housed inside an elaborately reconfigured 19th-century fabric factory. Merci created a shopping sensation with its unique products and decor and is loved by local Parisians who love its quirkiness and top quality products.
Merci is almost an institution in Paris and is photographed and shared on social media by thousands who adore the store. This signature tote bag brings Paris to you with it’s thick organic cotton fabric, comfortable handles and name in fine pink corduroy fabric.
L’OCCITANE BODY PRODUCTS
A household name in luxury French products, L’Occitane has been creating body, face, fragrances and home products since 1976. Olivier Baussan created the company from a love of wanting to celebrate and preserve the traditions of his native region Provence. Based in Manosque, France all products are beautifully crafted and smell divine.

ANTIQUE KEY WITH TASSEL
Searching flea and antique markets in France is a happy pastime for me and it makes me even happier when I wander markets now because I’m always on the lookout for small, authentic items to include in our gift boxes.
In the theme of unlocking a bright new year and new beginnings, we think our large antique keys sourced from Les Puces de Saint–Ouen (the largest flea market in Paris) is just perfect! We added a luxury cotton tassel to this sweet country decor item.
FRENCH FLOWER SHOP CHIC PRINT
Shell Sherree is a lover of pastries and Paris, fashion and flowers, fluffy animals and fluffy clothes, and random acts of kindness and her artwork takes you straight to Paris every time you look at it.
We were so delighted that Shell agreed to have her French Flower Shop Chic print included in our December box and know that whether you frame it or prop it on your office desk, it will make you smile every time you look at it.

What a treat is was to receive your December box.
My friend from work and I had a lovely French afternoon after a very long school year. We are teachers, teaching Reception. We waited for the first day of our holidays and with great anticipation we sipped our Rose and enjoyed our French cheese whilst listening to French music. We loved everything in our boxes.
