Want a sneak peek at our sample subscription box? This weekend we revealed what sort of products we’ll be including in our boxes with our sample box at the French Twilight Market held in Newcastle, my hometown in Australia.

When organisers Alliance Française Newcastle, asked me to participate as a featured stall holder I happily agreed to be a part of the very first French market hosted in Newcastle.

With French fromage (cheese) and saucisse (sausage) cones, mouthwatering patisseries, chilled French wine and traditional music the market got off to a busy start. There were language workshops for adults and kids and classic and new Renault and Citroën cars on show. Friendly but lively games of pétanque were drawing interested crowds and it was a wonderful afternoon and evening for me and the hundreds of others that turned out to eat, drink, dance, shop and enjoy the balmy weather.

Special guests to my stall were Madame and Mademoiselle ‘Antoinette’ who seemed to just float along in their elegant gowns bringing a regal glamour to the market.

Chatting about our boxes and how they are the perfect unique gift for the Francophile in your life, or the hard-to-buy-for relative or a little surprise and reward for yourself, was heaps of fun and kept me very busy.

Thankfully I had family who came to keep me watered and feed because between customers signing up for their French box and answering questions on living in, and buying property in France I was very busy. I honestly couldn’t have lasted without their help! So a big thank you to them.
