Are you a dreamer, a romantic and lover of antiques and flea market finds? Then you’ll love the 222 page hardcover book that journals the renovation of Courtney’s 1940s Californian cottage, life as a mum, renovator, blogger, photographer and stylist.
You’ll find chapters on the elements of the french country cottage style, home, the little cottage, the greenhouse, outdoor living and celebrations.

The French country cottage style is one “… that appreciates “well worn” and sees it as “well loved”. It celebrates simplicity and at the same time craves and indulges elegance. It is a welcoming way of living that invites you to embrace an inspired lifestyle and live a life that is beautifully decorated.”
Wandering French flea markets for little treasures and making the old and well loved become part of our everyday family life is something that I love to do and has also become a favourite pastime of my two almost adult sons. Filling vases and jars with fresh flowers is almost an obsession at our homes and some of my earliest memories of my grandma are of her arranging fresh flowers throughout her Adelaide home. Taking notice of the different flowers that are in season throughout the months in Australia and France (as we spend time at both our homes) has become a pleasant hobby.
Courtney’s blog frenchcountrycottage.net and instagram FrenchCountryCottage always make me smile and her newly released book French Country Cottage, will make the best coffee table book, gift for someone you love or as pure inspiration.
